Secure COPY and SFTP PUT

Hi ALL,

Wanted to know in what mode (ASCII or Binary) the files will be copied when we use scp and SFTP put opreation.

Our requirement is to copy the files in ASCII mode, can this be achived by using HP OO.

Thanks

Re: Secure COPY and SFTP PUT

Hello Lokesh,

My apologies for the delay response, but after consult with my OO Team I received the following answer:

FTP supports either BINARY/ASCII mode for file transfer while SFTP sends files as BINARY files.

The connection for SFTP operations is performed via ChannelSftp(jsch) which support SFTP protocol version 3. Text mode is supported by SFTP protocol versions 4 and later.

I hope this information helps you,
