Testing an LDAP configuration

In Central when you create an LDAP configuration there is an option to test the configuration.  After entering your credentials Central will validate the configuration and your authentication, and return the groups from the LDAP server.

The same functionality exists in v9.07, except that the test function also returns the Role(s) in Central that the ID maps to.  This was very valuable for testing both the LDAP connection and the groups mapping in the Roles.

Is there a way in v10.51 to show what Roles a particular id would be assigned to?

Thanks

Re: Testing an LDAP configuration

The mapping between LDAP groups and OO roles is visible in Central.

under System Configuration -> Security -> Roles

Then, by testing a user's credentials in LDAP you can retrieve its group and see which roles it maps to.
