I have great log file control except for this log. It grows to a GIG before rolling over. where are the properties for controlling this log file size and rotation?
E:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Operations Orchestration\central\var\logs\localhost_access_log
localhost_access_log is a log file belong to TOMCAT application and it seems the only way possible to manage this log file can be through the rotation either to hourly, daily or monthly, by adding the fileDateFormat parameter in the server.xml file which is located at : <OO Home directory>\central\tomcat\conf\server.xml
This link might has useful information which I recommend you to read : http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/config/valve.html#Access Log Valve
Make sure to backup any files prior any changes.

Thank you, this tip did allow me to confugre the default log rotation from daily to hourly meaning the log files will be smaller. However, there is no provision for removing aged log files. I found this inthe admin guide and created a windows task.
forfiles /p "E:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Operations Orchestration\central\var\logs" /s /m localhost_access*.txt /d -10 /c "cmd /c del @PATH"
