How many are left?

Not really surprising, though, given the recent rulings.

I think just Bob and Jack. I hope one of them remembers to turn off the
lights.

I believe trading on that stock is halted because of the Chapter 11
filing....

Nope, trading was suspended pending the announcement, then resumed after
the announcement. As at the close of the market, SCOX was down $0.28
(43%) to $0.37 ...... will be a penny stock soon me thinks....

Re: A shame really

Yes, its the employees that suffer:

And if you are willing to move to India, you can be one of them.

Huh, I must've misunderstood - I figured at the announcement the stock
was at $0.37 - ah well, either way, it don't look good... 🙂

Re: A shame really

Basing a company on filing lawsuits and patent trolling isn't exactly a
good business practice.

Anyone who saw Darl McBride's strategy saw this coming... I know I did
from the get-go.

Ray Noorda would be ashamed I think. He saw the Linux vision years ago.
Novell would be RedHat right now if things had gone differently. 😕

But isn't that how NTP made its millions? Patent trolling? First RIM,
now the four big wireless carriers & Palm...

Re: A shame really

'RIM, NTP and Patent Madness'

I meant that not in a literal sense... more in a "don't be evil" sense.

The US Patent system is broken. It's so broken I've been thinking about
moving to another country and starting a life there.

I'm half scared of trying to start a business in the U.S. because I'd
get sued for using a "method to extract coffee from grounds" because I
used the coffee maker at work in the morning without permission.

Re: A shame really

Definitely.

However, Microsoft once again gets off without a scratch.

You inadvertently added an 'e' where none is needed on your subject line.
