I've got one user I setup to use it, backend is OES2 SP1. I don't think
he's using it though.

Re: Does Ifolder stink?

I hear you. I'm not asking for support, just saying I would prefer that we
never went to it and rather than solve it, I'd rather replace it with
something else.

Just wondering if the consensus is same.

Re: Does Ifolder stink?

Oh, and if you're so inclined, read the ifolder posts under "Subject:
Alternatives to iFolder?".

A bunch of the other "error" posts are auto-replies as well.

This is the first iFolder 3.x install we've had. Previously I was on
iFolder 2.x

Stinks though. 🙂

It might. I've seen lots of complaints about 3.7.x and it seems each version gets worse.

Personally I've not used it since 2.0 days.

I'm waiting for a machine to free up before I slap it on for testing porpoises.

or maybe dolphins.

Re: Does Ifolder stink?

Right....that's what I'm seeing too. More problems, not dolphins I mean.
🙂

So you just want to trade one set of a problems for another set of
problems? 🙂

Our iFolder 2.1.8/NW6.5 installation just works, and has since it was
deployed 6+ years ago. My eval installation of iFolder 3 on SLES/OES...
not so much. Users' folders just stop synchronizing more or less
randomly. I hope it's better by the time I have to retire our iFolder
2.x server.

Re: Does Ifolder stink?

Right..the old Netware versions were quite good, if limited in
functionality. The Linux based ones seem to have made the mistake of using
mono.
