How about google apps? Free, 6+GB of storage, and now supports IMAP and
POP3....

Re: Good, easy (free?) pop3 server?

Nice idea...but I need a Winders app to run on top of it. Basically, it is
a workaround for a GW POP problem I have.

I found this:
http://www.jam-software.com/smartpop2exchange/

But I think I want to go with something simpler than Exchange.

Re: Good, easy (free?) pop3 server?

Sweet...works on XP too. Why else do you prefer it over Mercury?

Mercury is no longer free if you use the latest version.

Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.

Would you say that a little slower please? I don't speak idiot and I
might understand what you're saying if you speak slowly and succinctly

I have used Argosoft to troubleshoot a scan to email problem with a copier.
It was easy to setup and seemed pretty foolproof.

I'm using Mercury myself. The new version is no longer free for
commerical use. There's numerous long outstanding bugs, a terrible
UI, no native support for running as a service, no web-based
configuration (we had to roll our own).. but it works. Mostly.
