Could be -- the thing is, in NetWare, you can (and have been able to
since at least 3.x) configure to mirror the NetWare partitions (not the
DOS partitions) from within the OS. Used to be the standard increased
reliability approach (especially with 3x and 4x). You first configured
the boot drive (pair) so that there was a bootable DOS partition on both
drives - I typically made the first drive boot DOS partition just a bit
larger than the boot DOS partition on the second drive.

Then you did the NetWare install, and after completing it in, used the
within NetWare utilities to mirror the single NetWare partition. Fairly
straightforward stuff.

At the DOS partition level, you used an Xcopy command in autoexec.bat to
keep the two DOS partitions in sync.

Now that you mention it, I remember doing that on our 4x & 5x servers
