Just got off the phone with a vendor. I have a gold star in their CRM
system. Means I'm nice to talk to. 🙂

Re: I have a Gold star!

Nothing like a self-fulfilling note for those making calls to customers... 😉

Oddly, no. if I call support, its because I don't know how to fix it,
so need to kick it upstream. I don't need petting, I need someone
competent who I can give as detailed description of the issue as I can
manage and they want, and who can in return hand me a solution I didn't
think of.

As long as they can do that, they can be as abrasive as they want to
be, and I don't care - I am effectively paying them by the hour to fix
stuff I can't, not to make me feel good. If I wanted that, I would get a
pet dog 🙂

Re: I have a Gold star!

This was a sales call, not a support call. I'm not nice on support calls.
