IPv4

I tried to come up with a new IPv4 joke, but all the good ones were all already
used.

Well... This is one way to revive this forum. 😉

I'd tell you an IPv6 joke but the problem with IPv6 jokes is they're
long, obscure and no one gets them without translation.

Re: IPv4

And they're not funny if you explain them.

Re: IPv4

An IPv6 packet walks into a bar. Nobody talks to him.

You never know when you'll need an extra IPv4 joke. They come in handy.

Indeed. However, you can extend the lifetime of your existing IPv4
jokes by having comedians who don't have their own joke whisper ideas to
your border comedian, who can incorporate them into the jokes they have...

Re: IPv4

There are also private jokes....not quite so funny, but heaps of them....just need a translator, as not everyone understands them

Yup. I see that all the time - people telling each other a limited set
of IPv4 jokes - quietly, and on their own property - and pretending the
other sites aren't telling the same jokes over there.

Yea, over here we don't let just anyone listen in our our IPv4 jokes. If one
is especially funny we choose one guy to tell it in public. I don't like IPv6
jokes, they're too long.

Re: IPv4

The absolute worst thing about a broadcast joke is that you have to tell it to
everyone in order to find the one person who gets it.
