Mafia tips

If you have tips for Mafia Wars please add into this thread.

#1 Add members one at a time rather than in bulk since limited edition
weapons and building Mafia Mike's property require a certain number of
Mafia Members than then changes once you bought/built one

#2 If you have more energy than you need to complete a level go and do
some small jobs before the final job to use it up as you'll get it
refilled once levelled

#3 Go to hospital and property before banking otherwise you'll lose 10%
when banking and have to withdraw to use

#4 Only use energy refill when energy is 0 as it will refill all and add
another 25%

#5 Don't use energy refill when close to levelling (see #2)

Re: Mafia tips

Hey Simon Flood:

FYI everyone this is a FACEBOOK game....and a great one!

>Add members one at a time rather than in bulk

http://tinyurl.com/aszmqa Go there and request friends with all the
people that post there. After they accept your request, go to MY MAFIA
and send them a mafia request. Once they have accepted, you can go back
and remove them from your Facebook friend list.

>Don't use energy refill when close to levelling

Geez..that's hard to do sometimes. Often when I haven't been on Mafia
Wars for a while I'll come in and be 5 or 10 points away from a new level
and all my health/energy/stamina will be at full capacity....crud. 🙂 If
that's the case, I select the job that uses the most energy and do it
because I know that after that job, energy will be refilled again.

TIP: If someone sends you an energy pack and you are very close to a new
level, don't use it until you have leveled...then you can use it and fill
above your top energy limit.

Oh, in case folks don't know which things to get after adding mafia, you
can go to your Mafia Wars Home page and get a special weapon, then go to
properties and purchase a "Mafia Mike's" which is the best return on
investment property there is, but can only be purchased once you increase
your mafia.

Two words of warning:

I've added a few people via this sort of means but I noticed that my
browser (Firefox + NoScript plug-in) was prevented from running scripts
from iesnare.com. Not sure what this was but the name makes me wonder.

I also add such friend requests into a particular friends group which
I've then blocked from seeing all bits of my Facebook profile and
applications. It stops them seeing things you might not want them to
see, even if they're only friends temporarily.

Also beware that once you've sent a Facebook friends request you can't
unsend it (or see who you've requested) so I personally tend to add
people 1 or 2 at a time so I can keep track of who I've asked.

Hope this helps.

As do I.

Interesting tidbit I just found while eating my lunch. With the new
"Robbery" tools, you can rob someone's most valuable property. I just
robbed some guy's Mega Casino and got $600,000+ each time I robbed him.
That's MUCH better than the measly $70k I would get fighting him. 🙂

I also noticed they revamped the "top mafia" so now having key top mafia
can help in various stats. It's also interesting that when you click to
"promote" someone in your mafia, you are shown where they can help you
with green or red numbers. Now it's best to have your strongest mafia
members in your top mafia.

Re: Mafia tips

I've got a good tip. When you view your profile, you can change your
title to anything you have earned sofar (street thug, soldier, etc. etc.)
If you change your title to something less than what you currently are,
more people weaker than you will try to attack you and you will win more
often and gain experience faster. 🙂

FYI I have found that the best way to add friends is to pick those that
have their mafia wars status set so you can add them to your mafia
immediately. Also if you do add a facebook friend and issue a mafia wars
request, you can immediately delete the friend and the mafia request still
works.

Even if someone hasn't set their status to easily add to Mafia Wars you
can take the URL for one that has and change the magic number at the end
and automatically add them.

Oh...good thinking. Duh. Currently my mafia is 307. I'm really having
fun with being able to set my title to "soldier". Every time I get put on
the hitlist, I end up earning more experience and cash from people lower
than me attacking me than I lose by getting killed.
