Model Railroaders....

If you need weed tufts here is a cheap way to make them.
http://ardleybridge.fotopic.net/c1412580.html

If you want to make your own pine trees ask and I can walk you through
how to make some pretty nice looking ones (4-9") using galvanized wire,
masking tape, wisk broom bristles, chopped up hemp rope, fine ground
foam, some paint (trunk color mainly), and aquanet to hold it togehter.
Tools - vise grips/pilers, cordless drill with a hook in the chuck,
wire cutters

You can see pics of the trees and the latest from my build on facebook,
or http://community.webshots.com/user/timothysysop look under the model
railroad album.

Or I can go down to my local Walgreens or Walmart after Christmas and buy
a package of 3 trees for model villages for 25 cents. Did that last year
and got some real nice ones. Of course, I don't have the satisfaction of
building my own but.......

Those do look OK in the background, especially if you want white on
them......

Another way to make conifers is with dowels and furnace filters. Takes
longer and can even look better......

I prefer to use all three to get a mix that looks more real.
