Don't know. They only released my account from captivity a few hours ago.

I have been asking around and so far the only replies I have received
were "let me tell you about what my bank did to me...".

He probably has to personally show up at the support center in the
Phillipines to prove who he is before they will let him close the account.

I know. I was just giving that list for others in the thread who may
have other carriers.

With Mother and Grandmother in tow ..
I really like dealing with my credit union. One call and I can take of everything
financial.

Re: My new cell phone provider

So you need to snail mail a business card -- on the front in large
type: CLUE

On the back: Now you have one.

I don't think having just my Mother and Grandmother along would be
sufficient..

I have heard some good things about credit unions but there are only two
around here that can be joined by the public and even then they aren't
conveniently located for me. I like online bill pay. I schedule bills
for payment at a future date and until recently could forget about them.
My buddy belongs to one of them and he showed me what tools were
available. The online banking interface was clunky and they only kept a
few months information without any tools to analyze the data.

Our Credit Union Bill Payer utility is fast, helpful and easy to use. When I
click on a payee, it shows me six month past payments made. It also has all the
bells and whistles of auto pay and the like.

Remember when domestic roaming charges were almost that bad? In 1997, I
was vacationing in Tennessee and decided to check my voicemail. A
three-minute call cost me $15. There was a ten dollar "setup charge"
for roaming in that area.
