I think I know why and I concur. 🙂

I just hope I'm not given good reason to do the same for Trader Joe's.

Re: Nebulous food packaging

Aren't they like the Walmart of the organic food industry? We had one
come into the local area and put a bunch of smaller organic food markets
out of business or bought them out.

They did that here as well, well, one rather largish chain (Wild Oats).

Re: Nebulous food packaging

That's the chain I was thinking about, that got bought out. My son used
to work there part-time when he was in high school.

Kind of yeah - but they didn't want to come to our little town, so we got a
Sprouts instead.

My son used to work for Whole Foods. You should hear him go on about how he
feels about them. 🙂 No Whole Foods here. We like to go to Ward's, a
stand-alone: no UPC readers, organic produce section, gluten-free
fresh-baked breads, decent choice of other gluten-free products, decent
table wine starting at $3.99 a bottle, etc.

I imagine you do know why 🙂

We don't have Trader Joe's <sigh>

Yeah, we really liked them, WF not so much. But we've got a little
market just down the block from us that carries most of what we would get
from WF, and a local organic market for the produce, so it works out OK.
