Netflix charging more for BluRay

Again

Just got an email that it's going to vary by plan now.

So I'm on the 2/month so it's going to be an extra $3/month if you want blu-ray

Don't know about the other plans.

I'm thinking I may just go rent at BlockBuster for BluRay then (plus I won't have to wait 3-4 weeks for it either)

I imagine Netflix might be better overall with selection, etc., but we
switched to Blockbuster online quite awhile ago. It allows for two in-store
free rentals a month with coupons, and then you can also take your shipped
movie to the store and turn it in for a new movie at the store (but you have
to get it back within their return-or-pay time - can't keep it indefinitely
<g>).

It works well for us, because we have so many people in the house who want
movies NOW 🙂

We have no blockbusters in my area.

I'm liking Danita's idea. I used to have Blockbuster way back when and they would take weeks to ship movies. I imagine their dist. methods have improved since then.

You'll have even fewer when they go out of business.

I had read that Blockbuster was changing that policy....

They might be - but it's worked for us for awhile - I guess we'll see!

Well, check to see that their policies about store trades are still valid as
Jim thinks they may have changed, and I haven't done it in awhile!

So, in some ways this could be better if they don't require you to bring the
store video back within a certain period of time I guess. If that were the
case, then you would still have the same number of videos available to you,
but wouldn't always have to mail them back! I'll have to find out more.

Perhaps, since I use Netflix (and they're not perfect either, for that
matter <g>), I only read the headline and a bit of the story and thought
"well, that would do away with one of their competitive advantages".

They still also have 2 free movies/games via coupon each month too though -
but those are treated like regular rentals - i.e, you have to bring them
back eventually <g>.

"Eventually" being the key word. 🙂

Netflix is like that, which I like. Reminds me that we have a disc of
The Muppet Show we should really watch.
