Novell Acquires SiteScape

However, the creator & proofreader of this announcement must not have a
working space bar on their keyboards.

Words like "strategyand", "Conferencingthis" and "conferencingone" sure
are interesting, but have no place in a Press Release.

This looks like something that comes from Enrish.com.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that spotted that. At first I thought
maybe it was an html thing squishing it together so I copied and pasted
it to check.. Nope..

Re: Novell Acquires SiteScape

In a twist if irony, I misspelled Engrish.com in my original post.

No HTML squishing...probably tight deadlines where proofreading went out the
window.

The text version which I read on my Treo looked fine.

Without looking, I'm guessing that whatever copy-and-paste was used didn't
convert strings like "strategy[CR][LF]and" into "strategy and".

Re: Novell Acquires SiteScape

Well in Kmail the oddities
you are describing show up like

strategy--and
Conferencing--this
conferencing--one

Funny thing is, I can't believe you read it.
Novell makes the most boring acquisitions.
Now if they'd have said Novell buys Yahoo!,
now there's a headliner. 🙂

Re: Novell Acquires SiteScape

....or marketspeak. Gotta love the new works the marketing people come up
with. I bet they come up with more new words daily than the IT industry does
acronyms.

Yep, I've seen that come out of some of my own e-mails sent using similar
systems.

I hear Novell is about to make another acquisition. A company called
Big CR. They make software that ensures that carriage return and
line feeds are handled properly when harvesting text on the Internet.
