Novell Portal Services

I know extend director replaced NPS, but I can't find any new portal products from Novell. I searched the download portion of the site, and can't find any configured portal products that compare to nps or extend director. Does anyone know if Novell has a new portal solution?

Have you looked at Teaming and Conferencing?

Re: Novell Portal Services

yes, but I am looking for something that will run on Netware 6.5. NPS and Extend Director are products like I was looking for but those can no longer be downloaded from Novell.

Given your requirements, no.

I think even Virtual Office went by the way-side.

The official answer we got from Novell was to use the IDM User
Application, but that only runs on Windows/Linux, and you need NetWare
support.

Sorry.

VO/eGuide was included in 6.5, so as long as 6.5 is supported, I would guess VO
would be supported still, right?

Sort of. Don't expect everything to work for interoperability. Like I
don't know if Gwise 8 was even tested with VO, or the latest NetStorage,
etc.

If your running NW6.5, you've probably got the "old" Netstorage, and I
bet it works with GW8, since the GW7 clients still do. (wouldn't it
just behave like a client?) Might be worth installing and playin' with.

I don't know if the groupwise portlet will work with version 8.

You can always try and see what happens.
