Re: One for the single 'good guys' out there.

Matthew:

You seem to confuse "nice guy" with "needy guy" and those are two
different things. There are nice guys who aren't needy and needy guys
who aren't nice.

I always preferred nice guys, and am with one right now. : )

Re: One for the single 'good guys' out there.

It's all in how you define a person. For example: I define a nice guy
as somebody who treats a woman with respect. Opens the door for her.
Buys hers nice things, but doesn't go overboard. Takes her out for
dinner and on trips. Basically lives for her, but has his own life too.

A needy guy is somebody who has to be with the woman. Has to know what
she's doing and where she is all the time. Is always scared she is
cheating or lying or is going to leave him and acts accordingly.

It's very easy to go from being a nice guy to being a needy guy. The
reason for that is the nice guy tries to really hard to treat a woman
with respect and 9 times out of 10 he is spurned. Of course the reality
is those 9 previous girls weren't the right girls for him. However, the
nice guy doesn't see it that way. He believes something is wrong with
himself and edges toward the needy guy side with every heart break.

Now if the nice guy is lucky, smart, or mental he will break before
becoming the needy guy and become kind of numb in a sense. Instead of
being needy he will become shallow for a time and basically treat woman
as an object of desire to be easily discarded when he is done. This is
kind of like a reset for the man brain. Assuming he truly is a nice guy
this way of living will not satisfy him and he will revert back to the
nice guy way of life. With any luck he will find number 10 now and the
rest will be history.

Of course summing up people so easily is impossible. Bad boys can
become nice guys when they find the right girl. Needy guys can become
nice guys with the right girl. So on and so forth as they say.

Agreed. That's my whole issue w/ the way I've been treated by the last
few women I've dated. I'm a nice guy who's not needy, just get treated
like *&^%.

Oh well, I've got plenty going on right now between my car, basement, &
tons of stuff @ work.

Re: One for the single 'good guys' out there.

Bad boys can 'act' like nice guys if they find the right woman, but
chances are, they'll still remain bad boys and it will end in a divorce
when the nice girl finds out about it. It's indeed difficult for a cat
to change its stripes. Not impossible, but it takes a very special cat
to be able to do it. : )

How much of an age difference is there between yourself and these
women? I ask because I'm getting the sense that the women are immature.
An emotionally mature woman would love a nice guy. : )

The last one was a bit of a gap, about 11 years. Couple others before
this were right about 5, so didn't think that was too much.
