From what I read Samsung is the major supplier of AMOLED and they
either have yield issues or are keeping the product for their own
devices. Also from everything I read AMOLED uses less energy so you get
better battery mileage.

LOL, true enough. Though I do have to admit I was surprised a few weeks
ago in Minneapolis, the hotel conference rooms were in an old bank vault,
and I actually had a signal with AT&T. I know why, but it still was
surprising.

Jim:

Call the number on the back of the card. Many of the Visa rebate
checks can be taken to any bank that offers Visa cards, and exchanged
for cash. That's what I did with my last Visa rebate card. : )

I'm a bit interested to see what HP/Palm's new device is going to be.
It's been showing up in weblogs recently 800x480 webos 2.0. I like my
pre plus a lot. The keyboard needs a bit of improvement. I liked the
Treo 755 keyboard much better.

Interesting. That's the one thing that I've always had a problem with -
at some point, you need to put a stake in the ground and get something,
but the next week, something better/more powerful/more interesting will
come along. 🙂

The suits at VZW told me that the real world speeds will be between
10 and 20 megs down and 1 to 5 up depending on the pipe to the cell
towers. Urban areas should all have the high end of that. Hope that
holds true.

The other real benefit to verizons LTE will be the signal
penetration. The frequency should allow twice the signal strength
indoors.

Palm or HP? I think HP's okay, and Palm is already kaput. 🙂
