😞

It really makes me wonder what they think when they get subjected to
these things...

Re: Poor Stewie...

Talking of Maine Coons, I had a quick look to see if 'Horse' from
Footrot Flats was based off a Maine Coon - apparently not, but the
cartoon at the bottom of the page made me laugh.

Re: Poor Stewie...

This one was given to us. They said she was shy. We have determined she has a form of Feline autisim. So far she has cost us about 7k in new carpet, furniture and vet bills. However being the animal lover I am I just go with the flow ....... I hope your Main Coon was a good cat. I always wanted one but this one has been an unusual experience.

Go to PetSmart or any other Pet Store. Get one of those little sock
toys stuffed with catnip. Slide it around and back and forth near
Stewie. He will snap out of it. Believe me. I had a 22 pound Maine
Coon cat and couldn't get her to come out of anything. The catnip socky
(which is grey and tattered now from kitty claws and slobber) did the
trick! We lose it every now and then but it always shows back up. Good
luck!

Eventually, he'll forgive you. When he's ready. <G>

Re: Poor Stewie...

Took Stewie to the specialist today and he removed the stick that was
keeping the eyelid closed. The vet was pleased with how it was
healing, another week of eye drops and antibiotics and then back to our
regular vet.

When I was taking Stewie to the vet, a good 40 minute drive in morning
traffic, he was most distressed - probably thinking he was going to
loose the other eye...much quieter on the drive home; I'm still the bad
guy, but he didn't hide under the bed this time.
