Printer question

What would cause the following w/ an HP LJ 4250 DTN?

All of a sudden, stopped printing.
After 10-15 minutes, would print from parallel port only.
Could not print config from ptr menu.
Another 5 minutes or so, all jobs come out, but the paper comes out
extremely hot for a printer.

The printer's self-destruct sequence has been activated. Please
evacuate the premises.

He must have already. It's unlike him to not respond quickly.
