I use to drive ford ranger and a buddy of mine use to drive a s-10. He
use to say that to me all the time. Had his piece of junk in the shop
almost weekly for three or four months. I think he spend like 5k on it
getting it repaired. I drove mine with a faulty oil pump for months and
months and it still ran good when I sold it. 😄

My wife's old Escort was a p.o.s. that half the time didn't want to
start. I also remember some of the old company cars a former employer
had... Ford Festivas and Aspires. 'nuff said.

I can't argue with that even if I wanted to. 😛

My dad has a 2006 Impala which is a nice GM product. Plenty of power,
rides good, good gas mileage. Good all around vehicle in my opinion.

Personally, I like Beamers, but I drive a toyota celica. Can't afford a
Beamer at the moment, but hey I guy can dream.

BMW has all sorts of financing offers right now as presumably even they
are getting hurt by the recession. Makes what I thought was a good
finance rate on our 3-series which we bought a year and a half ago look
pretty bad. Oh well.

Except that reliable Fords truly don't exist. 🙂

Re: RIP GM

I always find that saying funny as all my Fords have run for years with no
problems, while all my GMs have been nightmarish. Hence, the name for my
1970 Pontiac LeMans - "Jaws".

Re: RIP GM

I still have my Ranger (as everyone knows)...just past 310 miles...on the
original transmission and 4WD transfer case. Still runs like a champ and
it's happiest with a load in it. My 21yo nephew asked if I would give it
to him yet as it's 19 yo now, I told him nope, I'm still using it! 🙂
