RIP Mel Gibson

My grandmother, Melvina Gibson passed away today. I think was 96. She
is the last survivor of her high school class. She was a nurse as well
as an all around hoot.

She had been spending her last years in Dubuque IA. in a nursing home
near my parents.

She had her wheel chair stolen one time because she had written her
name (Mel Gibson) on the side.

She thought that was pretty funny.

I will be in he U.S. Monday morning already. That was luck!

Re: RIP Mel Gibson

Sorry to hear that Brain, but it sounds like she had a long and full life;
after all, that's the best any of us can hope for.....

I wish your visit wasn't for such a sad affair, but it sounds like you are here
for more than that. How long you gonna be in the States?

Brain:

Sorry to hear of your loss, but if we're to lose anyone, it's just a
little easier if they've had a long, full life. Hope you have a good
time at your US home, and get that KitchenAid. : )

Re: RIP Mel Gibson

She sounds like she was fun and had a long life. 🙂

I still miss my grandfather who was a hoot...we laugh a lot about time we
got to spend with him.

Sorry she's gone, but I bet you enjoyed her while you had her.

Re: RIP Mel Gibson

Shame on you.
Making us think that yet another celebrity has died. That being said, I copied the text to an email to my wife (who LOVES the celebrity Mel).
I'm sure it'll give her a brief gasp. I hope I find the couch comfy tonight. <g>

Re: RIP Mel Gibson

Thanks Susan,

I bought the kitchenaid. It does fit in the bag, but just barely. I
need to unzip the extra zipper on the lid to allow the bag to expand a
bit. I have about six inches in the top of the bag for clothes.

I think it is enough.
Now I just need to haul it home.

Re: RIP Mel Gibson

It went surprisingly well. Everything had been purchased and payed for
years ago. We only had to specify small details.

Lots of people at the funeral. More than I expected.

Actually, I really did. Not in the last fifteen years of course but we
were together often before I left.
