Sharepoint : AD to eDirectory move? Help.

First, let me say : I am not familiar with Novell.

We currently have Sharepoint farm servers and SQL server, located in a Windows Domain.

We have tools (Sharepoint web parts) allowing calendars, mails, address books... to be shared between GroupWise and our Sharepoint. So our clients can see their info from the Sharepoint portal.

Is it possible to integrate (or migrate) our Sharepoint servers into Novell? If yes, how to do it? Keeping in mind that those servers are, at the moment, part of a Microsoft Domain.

Thank you very much!

Re: Sharepoint : AD to eDirectory move? Help.

One could also check the MS support forums. I know with WSS and MOSS you can change the auth method (eDir is via LDAP). However I do not know what all is involved (I think there's some communities/cool solutions articles on it) and I don't know what happens to the pre-exisiting config if it was setup for AD

But that would be tech support to discuss further.

About Omni: Server-side CRM integration and identity management integration for Active Directory, Exchange, eDirectory and GroupWise

Nahh, it is IIS/ldap configuration, that should fall outside of Novell product support?

This link will explain what you need to do to set up eDirectory as your
SharePoint LDAP authentication:
