I might just give that one a try on some old computer I've got lying
around here.

I would imagine that if you use a rather week magnet it probably would
have the same effect as a bad memory card and probably wouldn't damage
the system. On the other hand the idea is to remove the magnets and
make it work properly again in front of the luser.

If the outside magnets are close to the memory then you might opt to
switch one of the outside magnets for a more powerful one. That way
when it jacks it up you can remove the magnet from the case and it
should work again. Thus proving you are smarter than the average luser. 😄

Not sure of the word to use for the item on my desk where people
usually put their name. Has removeable letters in it, etc.

I had a user ask me why her monitor had gone bad.
(Nice rainbow at the top)....

I removed her clock radio...:-)

Nice, had a user here keep a live plant on top of a crt, over watered
it a couple times..................whoops!
