VMWARE ESX 3.5 and Netware 6.5

I want to install a Netware 6.5 server in VMWARE ESX 3.5.
The hardware is a IBM x3650 server with two quadcore CPU.
The guest SO installation Wizard of VMware allow only install one CPU
for Netware 6.5.
Why?

Maybe check the vmware forums?

I honestly don't know.

My guess would be that Netware can be a vm guest resource hog and I've
read that Netware actually does better with one processor vs two, but
neither of those statements may be accurate or true.

Re: VMWARE ESX 3.5 and Netware 6.5

Historically speaking this was true. Not sure about NW 6.5, but NW 5.1
and 6 (I believe) used one cpu for I/O and the other for other
functions. I recall enabling hyper threading on the original P4's
causing performance problems because of this. Not sure if any of this
still applies.
