VMware acquires Zimbra

Wonder if VMware's idea is to use Zimbra to offer cloud-based e-mail and
compete with Google's service.

Re: VMware acquires Zimbra

And isn't vmware owned by EMC?

So does that mean EMC really owns Zimbra?

Wonder if they'll mess that part up (you know, charge exorbitant rates and ruin the quality).

Yeah that's a weird one. It's like they do and they don't. Technically
they do and own something like 90% of the shares, but seems like they try
to run VMware somewhat independently. Though when it comes to VMware
supporting SANs guess which SANs are always on the HCL. 🙂
