Your best April Fools prank?

What advice for April Fools pranks do you have? Last year I used scotch
tape on the bottom of mice around the office which was quite amusing to
watch.

Re: Your best April Fools prank?

I haven't done it yet, but I'm thinking I might try the "cleaning out
the phone lines" one.

My wife really really wants a MINI Cooper but we can't really afford one
unless it's an older used one with a ton of miles. I was thinking about
seeing if I can just rent one tomorrow, bring it home and park it in
front, show it to her when she gets home from work, and then say "here's
your new MINI Cooper!"

Then while she's really excited and jumping up and down I'd go, "April
Fools, it's just a rental."

However, I want to remain married, so I probably won't do this.

I was at Costco this weekend and bought "LavaBalls" - they are like atomic
fireballs in taste, but are chewy. They look almost just like little grape
tomatoes, so James and I decided to put them in the salad tomorrow night 🙂

I sent a stripper over to my cousin's house. It just so happened he
just got home from having a vasectomy.

It's been 17 years and his wife is still PO'd at me.

Hey Mary Wood:

I had to look it up:
----------------
Cleaning out the phone lines
My favoriate was send out an email telling everyone that we will be
cleaning out the phone lines the night of March 31st. This entails sending
high pressure air through the lines. Please place you phone in your trash
can before you leave that night to catch any dust that may be push out
your phone.

Then going around April 1st to see how many people did.
----------------

Are people in your office that gullible?

Of course, my best ever what when Dominique was almost a year old. I was
suffering from an inner ear infection for weeks, and could barely stand up.
My boss came to work at 4:00 in the afternoon (he'd been out all day) and I
told him I was pregnant again, and that's why I had been so out of sorts.
He fell for it because the day was almost over. It was the best I've ever
done with a totally straight face, and seeing the look on his face was worth
it.

Re: Your best April Fools prank?

My best one was convincing my hubby to marry me (15 years ago tomorrow in
Vegas). Otherwise, I've never been that great. I did scare my mom though
when I was nearly 18 - got her good by telling her I was pregnant. Mom's
tend to freak at that. 🙂

I walked into my bosses office and said very loudly 'I quit'. I then
walked out and came back on the second.

That was YOU?!

I remember one year in college we sent a print job with 5,000 form feeds
to the high speed line printer for the late-night lab assistance. We
didn't print anything (so as to not waste the paper), but we understand
they had a fun time dealing with the job.

A better one, though, I think was the guy whose office we unwrapped an
old backup tape in. Was one of the old reel-to-reel style data backup
tapes. We wedged it into the ceiling over his office and started it
unspooling - gravity took over, and by the morning the whole thing was on
the floor in his office.

Though come to think, that might not have been April 1, but his birthday
we did that for.
