Hi deni ,
Can you let me know what would happen to the previous cmdctrl.db once it
is roll over. Is it kept on the system? Or archive somewhere? Where?
Or is it overwritten?

Once the db's roll over, they remain on the system until the Admin moves
them. They will stay in the same directory as the current db's, but
will have the date/time appended to the file name.

For example, a Audit db that rolled over on Oct 18, 2013 would look like
the following:
cmdctrl-2013-10-18_13-47-03.db

The database files are never overwritten.
