I would like to raise an enhancement to completely disable cost health icon on project record as the logic to calculate this icon is very confusing.
From what I was told by SaaS and RnD, the following logic is a summary of how cost health icon behaves in PPM:
1. if a project does not have a financial summary or workplan created, the cost icon is greyed out.
2. As soon as you have costs populated in financial summary, cost icon becomes green by default;
3. As soon as the workplan is created but a workplan baseline is not yet in place, the cost icon is greyed ou again (super confusing, but that's the logic, as RnD claimed that EV is null so cost health cannot be calculated);
4. Once the workplan baseline is created and EV can be calculated, cost icon goes back to green again (or red or amber, depending on the cost health settings in the project type).
The transition from step 2 to step 3 is extremely confusing. As any project record would inevitably go through this transition, users are often not informed enough by the change they see in the cost icon. So here is my requirement to completely turn off the cost health icon as an option in project type.
