9.32.0002 and email notifications

Jump to solution

Hi

Were about to upgrade to 9.32.0002. We found something that we would like to sort out.

In a workflow I have a notification defined, with

Recipient type: Email Address
Distribution type: To
Receipient: hej@domain.se (just hardcoded not resolved by token or anything)

IF a user in PPM have the email address hej@domain.se the mail will be sent

IF NO user has the email address hej@domain.se the mail will be disregarded

Could you confirm this behaviour, is it known?

Regards,
Johan

Hello Johan,

Could you please give more details. i dont understand when you said
Receipient: hej@domain.se (just hardcoded not resolved by token or anything)

IF a user in PPM have the email address hej@domain.se the mail will be sent

IF NO user has the email address hej@domain.se the mail will be disregarded

Also, with this query the database schema to confirm if they were sent

Some Resource Managers were not receiving Resource Request Notifications.

Get the User ID of the User that sent the Resource Request
2, Run the following SQL to check if mail had been generated/sent:

SELECT *

FROM RSC_POSITIONS, RSC_RESOURCE_POOLS

WHERE RSC_POSITIONS.RESOURCE_POOL_ID =

RSC_RESOURCE_POOLS.RESOURCE_POOL_ID

AND RSC_POSITIONS.POSITION_NAME = '<first position name>'

OR RSC_POSITIONS.POSITION_NAME = '<second position name>'

SELECT * FROM PPM_MESSAGE_ITEM WHERE CREATION_DATE>sysdate-60

3, Use the REQUESTED_BY column of the first query, to match the CREATED_BY column of the second query

Thanks

Natalia

Hi
My scenario is a notification fired from a workflow step in a workflow. Just try to configure a notification adressing it to an emailadress. If the specific emailadress does not exist in knta_users it will not be sent off.
Please confirm
