Do you want to add some extra custom capabilities to PPM REST APIs that don't exist yet? If that's the case, then no, there's no supported way to do so.
Should I understand from the title that you're trying to do stuff with Timesheet (like building your own timesheet mobile app) but that current PPM REST API doesn't provide what you're looking for and you're looking for ways to get thing done?
That is correct we are trying to build a mobile app with the APIs ppm provides ootb. But we do not find any api's that can be used for adding notes or search tasks (similar to what is used from timesheets --> add tasks)
Appreciate if there is any guidance around those.
Chitra may have already some back to you with my answers as she asked me the same things yesterday, but as of today there are not API (SOAP or REST) to do this.
This will likely change as we're currently reworking the Mobile timesheet entry, just like we've already rewritten the request approval & timesheet approval in the latest PPM versions. Nothing will come out before end of August at best, but along this new mobile timesheet UI will come all the related capabilities to the REST API - and it goes without saying that being able to search & add projects/tasks or add notes to the timesheet lines are high on our priority backlog - so this should eventually arrive at some point - it's just not there at this moment, so it's an ER.
