Basic Steps for Setting up SSL in PPMC 9.40

Jump to solution

I need to setup SSL from our front-end loader (Citrix NetScaler) thru the backend application server of PPMC.  Can someone please provide the basic steps for doing so?  I have been reviewing the Installation and Administration Guide for 9.40, but am confused about where to start and require assistance.  We have PPMC setup on a Linux server.  Thanks.

Hello Max,

You can start by using the "Enabling Secure RMI" on page 92 pf the Installation and Administration Guide.

Note: PPM does not enable SSL by default, for enabling it requires other user information. However, HPE recommends that you enable it, especially in production environment, to make sure data being transmitted is encrypted. The use of SSL protects sensitive information from the risk of eavesdropping, data tampering, or message forgery in the process of transmitting.

We found that AND agree.  BUT.....is that it?   Seems to me that "You can start by....." indicates that there is more to it.
