Cannot find the PROPOSAL identified by 138445; ensure that the PROPOSAL exists

Jump to solution

Hi

Every Monday morning I see the following in the serverlog

ERROR JSESSIONID=8665469A0C1992EA528E6DB5F860784B.PPM_VE_SRV,USERNAME=:http-0.0.0.0-8080-Processor49:com.mercury.itg.ws.fm.util.FinanceExceptionHandler:2014/06/30-06:44:33.701 CEST: com.mercury.itg.ws.core.utils.WSRuntimeException: Cannot find the PROPOSAL identified by 138445; ensure that the PROPOSAL exists.

ERROR JSESSIONID=51F99E841E2FFD83878E5BA8DB6936C4.PPM_VE_SRV,USERNAME=:http-0.0.0.0-8080-Processor44:com.mercury.itg.ws.fm.util.FinanceExceptionHandler:2014/06/30-06:50:58.329 CEST: com.mercury.itg.ws.core.utils.WSRuntimeException: Cannot find the PROPOSAL identified by 137611; ensure that the PROPOSAL exists.

They exist and they are proposals, BUT they are very old and think they were created as requests in early 2012 and later that year we added the proposal field group to the request type.

They dont exist in PFM_LIFECYCLE_PARENT_ENTITY (as they were created as requests probably)

Table itg_pending_rollups is empty

Table knta_pending_rollups contains 369 rows

How could I get rid of the error messages?

Regards,

Johan

I found something similar, looks like projects/proposals corrupted,

Basically, the client caused some data corruption by adding a Field Group to a Request Type that was already in use (as always, when a Request Type is in use, clients really should use a versioning system and create a new Request Type instead of modifying the existing Request Type; Workbench will give a warning when trying to modify any Request Types that are in use by existing Requests that says the User is risking data corruption). So now PPM thinks the old Requests are Proposals, when in reality they are not because they did not have the Field Group when they were created.

In any event, if you want to get rid of these old requests, you should clean up the Data Base.

Best Regards,
Carolina
