DISTINGUISH BETWEEN CAUSAL VS POWER LICENSE FROM FRONT END

Hi All,

Would you please let us know, if there is any way to distinguish between causal VS power licenses. Also, would like to get the count of causal and power licenses.

NOTE: We are on 9.32, Windows platform.

Hi Aurobinda,

PPM does not enforce this license thru application licensing system but we give you the flexibility to choose which user you want to elevate to power or give them casual level thru access grant within the application.

Re: DISTINGUISH BETWEEN CAUSAL VS POWER LICENSE FROM FRONT END

Hi Aurobinda,

The power users will be needed for administrators, users of Program or Project management and Power users of Demand and Time Management. Casual users are needed for those reporting time or submitting demans.

Ex:

Basically the original description of these 2 levels of demand management licenses read as follows:

Power User - The ability to create requests, update requests submitted by any user, view portal, run/view reports, view requests Casual User - The ability to create requests, update requests submitted by the licensed named user only, view portal, run/view reports, view requests. "Casual User" could only view and not edit, delete or cancel requests. "Power users" could do all of that. It is depending on the access grants assigned.

Hi Loc_Nguyen_PPM,

Thanks for your reply. We also received the similar reply from HP. But, still waiting some enhancments in the license section so that "we will come to know the count of each type of license" consumed and left for use easily. Hopefully, HP will come up with this feature soon.
