Delete Task or entire Workplan through WebServices

Hello all!

We are trying to design an integration point with an external data source and HP PPM's Project Gantt. At this point we are aware that we can create or update plans/tasks through webservices, but there's no webservice (at least documented) to delete a task or delete a plan (in order to have them synced). We need to know if this is possible through webservices at all, or if there's any PL/SQL that handles the "delete task" function you can do through the standard button in the gantt.

Thanks in advance!

Claudio

Re: Delete Task or entire Workplan through WebServices

Hello Claudio,

There is not documentation about how to delete tasks or work plans with web services.

I believe that this is not possible, is not in the guides so there isn't way to do it based in HP documentation.

Re: Delete Task or entire Workplan through WebServices

Hey Natalia, thanks for your reply. Is there any workaround on this with PL/SQL or anything else?

Just as MSP integration handles de deletion of tasks when planning or like the "Hybrid Project" can insert and delete a workplan when mapped to a child project. I think there should be a some kind of component that handles this internally at least.

Best regards,

Claudio

Hi,

You may try deleting the corresponding entries in the WP% tables. The data model guide is pretty accurate in that area.

I have never tried it, but it is worth a shot.

Cheers
