Error while restarting server

I'm unable to restart testing server, getting the below error:

Windows could not start  the HP PPM beta_service_01 service on Local Computer.

Error 127 - Specified procedure couldnot be found

Please help. Thanks in advance.

Re: Error while restarting server

Try to start PPM with kStart.sh command to see further details of the error.

Re: Error while restarting server

Tried kstart.sh and got the below error

The following errors were found which prevent this node starting
server.conf: java.lang.NullPointerException
Node beta_service_01 sanity failed. See server log for detail.
PPM failed the pre-startup sanity checks and will not start

I checked the log file and it was not updated with any error

Re: Error while restarting server

Ragul,

Which version of PPM are you currently using, also are you starting the server in a cluster environment or a standalone.

And which log file are you currently looking at.

Re: Error while restarting server

If its standalone you could try to reinstall the service with kConfig.sh.

Re: Error while restarting server

Hi Ragul,

So far what I have noticed happening in my environment when I get the sanity failed usually is because there is still some processes running and one of the nodes has not shut down completely, have you checked the windows processes to see if Java.exe is still running?
