Summary :
Creating Portlets and Modules in PPM 9.30

When exporting a portlet that shows colors (like Red, Blue, Yellow and Green) in v9.30,  the export to an excel spreadsheet doesn't export the color codes correctly.
It doesn't work if the field being exported has an HTML tag to display color. The color does not matter. The issue appears to be that v9.30 now exports to Excel instead of to HTML.

This functionality was working fine in 9.1x.

HOW TO REPRODUCE

-- Create a Data Source
-- The columns in the Datasource has HTML tags to display the color correctly.

-- Complete Data Source query

   SELECT (CASE WHEN 1 = 1 THEN '<!--HTML--><!--'||1||'--><Table border=1 bgcolor=BLUE><COL Width = "50"><tr><td><font color=WHITE><Center>'||1||'</Center></FONT></td></tr></table>' END) A, (CASE WHEN 2 = 2 THEN '<!--HTML--><!--'||2||'--><Table border=1 bgcolor=RED><COL Width = "50"><tr><td><font color=WHITE><Center>'||2||'</Center></FONT></td></tr></table>' END) B, (CASE WHEN 3 = 3 THEN '<!--HTML--><!--'||3||'--><Table border=1 bgcolor=YELLOW><COL Width = "50"><tr><td><font color=WHITE><Center>'||3||'</Center></FONT></td></tr></table>' END) C
FROM dual
WHERE 1=1
   (CASE WHEN 1 = 1 THEN '<!--HTML--><!--'||1||'--><Table border=1 bgcolor=BLUE><COL Width = "50"><tr><td><font color=WHITE><Center>'||1||'</Center></FONT></td></tr></table>' END)

-- Create a portlet definition for the above DS
-- Add it to the Dashboard page
-- Export the results of the portlet into Excel

Solution
It is by design and the function of export excel was modified.
The new function will support numeric number's format, calculation, etc. As the field type is number, please define the value of the field to be number instead of html syntax. The html style for number fields won't be supported.

If you want to display the column color, you can use this urls to a specific column

The original excel is not real excel, it's a html file which can be displayed in Microsoft Excel tool. Sometimes, it prompted a warning message while opening it. A lot of customers complained about it. The format and calculation functions for numeric fields could not work fine. That's why we modified the function.
