How to copy Request + Reference package and create new Request + Package using Copy Button?

Greetings!

Question : How do we ensure that when we copy the request - it create a new request id and copies the reference package + create a new Package id?

Details:

We use a workflow that creates a Package and references it to the Request. These two entities use Jump/Recieve steps to communicate and there are about 8 Jump/Recieve steps.

The combination of this request workflow and package workflow serves as an automated 'Change Management Process'

Now, the packages that are used for deployment management are getting bigger and bigger and at times there is a need to copy the Request along with it's reference package.

However copying the request creates a new request ID but not the Package ID. It still references the old package.

So, how do we ensure that when we copy the request - it create a new request id and copies the reference

package + create a new Package id?

Appreciate any inputs.

Thanks,
