How to reject only few hours within one position

Hi Everyone,

We have on position in staffing profile that went to resource manager for assignment.
But as per him, he need to approve only few hours and he need to reject few hours with in same position.

Is there any way he can reject only few hours in single position. We dont want to reject entire line.

Best Regards,
Shravan

Re: How to reject only few hours within one position

Hi Shravan,

In this case, resource manager can partially assign resource as much as the capacity allows. There will be an "unmet demand" line in staffing profile. In my opinion if he rejects the unmet part then the whole line status will be "rejected" but this is not what you want I guess. So no worries for "unmet" part as project manager can modify or forward request accordingly.

Re: How to reject only few hours within one position

Hi Shravan,

This is not possible to reject few hours, either you reject/ forward the whole line or partially fulfil a position.

As Murat mentioned, if you reject/ forward a line, it will all be rejected/ forwarded.

You can partially assign to a position, but that is not ideal, so you need to make sure you balance the supply and demand within the staffing profile.

Easy way to handle this is call out for separate position, and then reject/ forward it as desired.

I would say, It is more of a business process than a tool issue.
