Oracle NLS_Numeric_Characters

Jump to solution

Hi everyone,

A client recently changed the mask for number in a component table to 1234.83 to 1,234.83 , so for previous data I had to made a simple function to masked the string, I ran the script in a query in TOAD and work as expected, but everytime a execution step calls the function instead of returning 1,234 returns 1.234,83 . Seems that PPM every time is creating a connection set the NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS in a different language.

The PPM user is set t Mexico Region where thousands are ',' and decimals are '.' . Where I can change the session language in order to convert the String in  a correct format?

Regards,

Alfredo

Hi Vinhloc,

Well PPM users has their region right, the problem is when is a connection outside PPM using a direct connection to the Database, we created a trigger for that user to change his NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS TO .,

Hi Alfredo,

You can easily change the language session at PPM Login Page.

Hope this helps.
