What is the use of Org Unit in PPM. since we have to implement this functionality in our environment.
So Please suggest us with some information about this concept.
The basic usage would be to align all your resources to your current structure of your company i.e. organisation.
Align based on the different levels i.e. Divison, followed by business unit, department, group and team.
PPM allows the org units to be classified as either matrix or primary org unit.
Would recommend read some resource managment user guides.

One Small question, what is the difference between Matrix Organisation Unit and Primary Org unit.
What will happen if we choose region unit.
The way we have set it up is to match the org units with our cost centers to reflect the actual line organization. The resource pools are setup to match the organization units. I think this is pretty standard. In addition, we have some customizations on the org unit to control what licenses and security groups are automatically assigned to imported users.
