PPM 9.2 sends separate notifications to different reciepient type
We upgraded to 9.2 recentely, and noticed the following change. Our workflow step notifications started sending notifications separately to different Recipient Types.
For example: If Distribution Type is To, and the reciepeint list is composed of combination of User IDs, and Email Addresses reciepient types, there will be two notifications sent: One will be sent only to User IDs, and second one will be sent only to Email Addresses.
Our users are very concerned, since they no longer can accurately track who recieved the notification, since the reciepient list will exclued one or another reciepient type.
Does anyone experiance anything similar? Or do you have any tips, suggestions?
Why don't you use only User-ID; temporarilty instead od Email address specify the ID. You can do this in many ways.
Example, create a hidden field and populate the ID's in it.

Unfortunately, we need to use email address type, since we have a free text area field where users inputs emails of project memember who do not have PPM accounts (like vendors). We could use Contacts, but this requires a bit of change in our business process, which is out of scope for now. We simply want to fix what was broken.
we will be submitting a case to HP on this, will update on progress.
We are expieriencing the same issue in our instance. Could you please let us know the root cause / fix details?

This issue is fixed in 9.31.0002 according to its release notes.
Knowledge database shows a topic about a side effect about 9.31.0002 and notifications. Apparently three new server.conf settings must be absolutely configured to make notification working.
Note that on 9.30 and 9.31 vanilla (without patch), no notfication are sent to "Bcc" at all.
