PPM Dashboards Not Displaying Correctly

In one of my instances of PPM we have an issue with the Portlets on all dashboard pages not displaying correctly.  I've attach a screen shot of what we see.

Re: PPM Dashboards Not Displaying Correctly

Hello Rich,

Please perform the below steps in the machine with the issue   and let us know the results:

1) Stop the server.

2) Delete tmp and work and run kJSPCompiler.sh. Delete the two directories \server<\\tmp and \server\\work (file://tmp%20and%20/server/work)>

Note: Repeat for all servers (nodes)

Note: Do not back these directories up as they will be re-created when the PPM instance is started.

3) Go to PPM_HOME/server/SERVER_NAME/log and re-name the serverLog.txt file. This will allow for a clean log  to review.

Note: Repeat for all servers (nodes)

Run kupdatehtml.sh

Run the kjspcompiler.sh

4) Restart server

5) Run kRunCacheManager.sh -A (clear all cache).

6) Clear ALL cache and history in Internet Explorer

If you have clustering, please repeat this for the entire nodes.

7) Clear the Client Java cache.

Start --> Control Panel --> Java --> Temporary Internet Files --> Delete Files

😎 Also clear the client-side Java Virtual Machine(JVM) Cache. (Control Panel -> Java Plug-in -> Cache Tab -> 'Clear'). Do so for ALL Java Plug-ins installed.

Also , which Browser and version are you using to reproduce the issue?

Thanks

Re: PPM Dashboards Not Displaying Correctly

Hello,

Dis this issue happens when you call PPM internal web server (port 8080 by default ?)

Do you use external web server ?

Which PPM version ?

Kind regards,

Alex-H

Re: PPM Dashboards Not Displaying Correctly

Hi,

There is an entry missing in uriworkermap.properties, which is preventing the web server to perform proper redirect for the dashboard area of the application.

Check the sample file in the documentation.

Cheers
Alex

Re: PPM Dashboards Not Displaying Correctly

This is happenning in my QA instance only.  I compared the QA file to Prod and they are the exact same.

# this file maps a URL to a worker name
# Each line represent a single mapping in a form
# URL_PATTERN = WORKER_NAME
# WORKER_NAME has to be defined in the workers.properties file

# /itg/* has to be mapped to one of the workers
/itg/*=load_balancer
# If you want to enable JK status page, uncomment the following line
# The status page can be accessed at http://web_server_host:web_server_port/jkmanager
#/jkmanager=jkstatus

# this file maps a URL to a worker name
# Each line represent a single mapping in a form
# URL_PATTERN = WORKER_NAME
# WORKER_NAME has to be defined in the workers.properties file

# /itg/* has to be mapped to one of the workers

Re: PPM Dashboards Not Displaying Correctly

Same results below is the new file. I bounced the app after I made the change.

# Added to fix Portlets

/dashboard/*=ppmtstlb

# If you want to enable JK status page, uncomment the following line

# The status page can be accessed at http://web_server_host:web_server_port/jkmanager

#/jkmanager=jkstatus

Re: PPM Dashboards Not Displaying Correctly

Of course!

you have to replace ppmtstlb with the name of your load balancer.

Re: PPM Dashboards Not Displaying Correctly

Hi,

what exactly did you do?

Did you bounce the web server? Did you check the logs of the web server? Did you restart PPM after bouncing the web server?

cheers
