PPM Support Tip: Exit Administration Console after making a change in .conf file

When changing the START_DAY_OF_WEEK parameter in periods.conf file, make sure to exit out of Administration Console prior to running.

Client was in the Administration Console to Generate Fiscal Periods, and getting the error:

"Generating Fiscal Periods ..... The start day of the week specified in the periods.conf file does not match the start day of the week of existing fiscal periods. To generate new fiscal periods, you must first make sure that the start day specified in the periods.conf file matches the start day of the existing fiscal periods."

They had the periods.conf updated to be START_DAY_OF_WEEK=2 to match the Start Days in the database (sql query: select start_date from PPM_Fiscal_Periods_NLS), however, while still Administration Console, they were still getting the error.

Refresh the Administration Console data.

To resolve:

1.   Log out of the application.
2.   Closed browser.
3.   Logged back into the Administration Console.
4.   Generate the Time Periods

After doing this, no longer received the error.
