PPM Support Tip: For 9.1 version, only JDK 1.6 has been certified for use

A new KCS article has been published: KM00522551

When using 9.1 version, only Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.6 has been certified for use

Clients are trying to use JDK 1.7 with Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) 9.1 version.

Check the System Requirements Guide for what has been certified for use for clients.

Whatever is in the Guide went through the Quality Assurance (QA) Lifecycle and can be “supported” (other versions may work, though cannot be “supported” as did not go through the QA Lifecycle).

For the 9.1 version. JDK 1.6 went through the QA Lifecycle and JDK 1.6 has not (JDK 1.7 has been certified for use on PPM 9.2 version).
