PPM Support Tip: Org Units limits questions

Org Units limits questions:

Is there any limit about the number of org units that can be created in PPM?
Are there any limits on the hierarchical levels that can be created in the Org model?

Org units are stored in KRSC_ORG_UNITS_NLS table and there is no limitation.

But if you have too many org units in the hierarchy like: "OU1=>OU2=>OU3=>OU4=>OU5=>OU6=>OU7=>OU8=>OU9=>OU10=>OU11=>OU12=>OU13=>OU14=>OU15=>OU16=>OU17=>OU18",

There will be layout problem because PPM will list it in some places like auto complete box and users have to use scroll bar to view these long values.

There is something about Browse the Org Model that you may want to be aware about:
“The Expand All and Collapse All buttons, used to view and hide all organization units on this page, are not enabled. If your organization is large, selecting these buttons causes slow performance. If you want

to enable these buttons, set the RM_ENABLE_ORG_VIEW_EXPAND_ALL server.conf parameter to true.
For more information, see Installation and Administration Guide.”
