PPM Support Tip: PPM not sending notifications - how to monitor?

The PPM system stopped sending notifications. When PPM is restart then it works, but the same issue reappears again later. How can we keep it under observation? How can we check this? Do you have any services to check this issue?

 


There are 3 services that are used for notifications, but the main and most important notification service is "Notification Service". The other notification services are used for time sheet notification and Resource management notification.
If for some reason the notification service is stopped, no notifications will be sent.

 

At this moment PPM doesn't have option to send notification when a service goes down. The only way is to check the services audit page to see if the services are running fine.

Has a root cause (and resolution) been identified for this issue? We have the exact same problem - every so often (maybe once every month or two) notifications will stop sending, and we have to shut down and restart the server to fix it. We cannot find any trend or pattern why this is happening.
