PPM Support Tip: PPM version 9.30
PPM v9.30:
• A more intuitive user experience with newly designed staffing profile and workplan interfaces that reduce mouseclicks, reduce pop-up windows, and increase inline editing options for easier updates. Customers
will be able to get more work done in a shorter period of time using the newly designed resource and project management in v9.30.
• Reporting: v9.30 provides both a new approach and new choices for new and existing customers. Our new approach is to allow customers a choice in choosing which end-user or business intelligence reporting
tool they wish to use. We are winding down the SAP Business Objects OEM bundle, so our solution no longer mandates SAP Business Objects. New choices include:
Aa vastly improved OOTB experience with Excel reports. Excel reports will leverage PPM’s existing in-tool menus and pages; and provide a powerful additional option to PPM’s existing HTML or “JSP reports” capabilities.
HP Vertica big data reporting solution as a content pack compatible with v9.30.
• Agile: As more of our customers tell us they need to manage and govern agile and “hybrid” projects in addition to their existing waterfall projects; v9.30 provides the ultimate in flexibility by providing a
software development kit to allow integration with virtually any agile tool on the market. HP PPM v9.30 now offers both an OOTB integration with HP’s own Agile Manager; as well as a powerful framework to
integrate with other industry-leading tools.
In addition to these highlights, v9.30 provides customers with new techniques for optimizing their resource selections, optimizing project forecasts, and many platform improvements such as a brand new utility
for safely purging data no longer needed in the PPM database.
