PPM Support Tip: Restrict the Package Log access, configure a dummy directory using PACKAGE_LOG_DIR
When wanting to restrict the Package Log access, configure a dummy directory using PACKAGE_LOG_DIR
A new KCS article was published: KM00460670
Client did not want their end Users to see the Package's Execution Log.
To restrict the access of Package Log files:
1. Stop Project and Portfolio Management (PPM)
2. Add the following parameter in the server.conf file:
3. Start the PPM
After creating the dummy directory, the following error message is displayed when Users try to view the Execution Log file:
The attachment file could not be downloaded. The file: PKG_31664/PKG_31664_PKGL_33641_BID_34721.html no longer exists on the server.
Please contact your HP Project and Portfolio Management system administrator. (KNTA-10697)"
The Package Execution Log file will not be available in BASE_LOG_DIR because the Package Log files will be stored in dummy directory.
