(PPM) Support Tip : SMTP logging Suggestions

SMTP.Filter.RegexToMatch is the parameter that can be configured to filter the log messages.

For example,

If PPM user inputs an invalid request number, the log message looks like following in the serverlog.txt

[java] ERROR JSESSIONID=195352E13AC55D67837F548896123A16.kintana,USERNAME=admin server:http-bio-8080-exec-25:(ErrorLoggerTag.java:20):2015/06/18-13:39:33.502 CST: Request #123456 does not exist. Please verify you entered the correct number.  (KCRT-40172)

The following setting in the logging.conf would catch this message:

com.kintana.core.logging.SMTP.Filter.RegexToMatch=OutOfMemoryError|Request\s+#\d+\s+does\s+not\s+exist

This parameter is a regex expression to filter log messages and additional links can be found to understand how regular expressions can be used.

In addition, set  SMTP.Filter.LevelMin and SMTP.Filter.LevelMax to limit the log level.
